The price on a retailer’s product page does not show the full cost of getting the purchase to you. Store delivery, buying assistance, warehouse services, packing and international transport may add to it. Check applicable import charges at the destination separately.
Build the budget in two stages: buying the goods and getting them to the warehouse, then shipping the prepared parcel. Record each amount and its currency; a euro figure and a pound figure cannot simply be added together.
Check that the product can travel first
Before comparing prices, confirm that the seller delivers to your chosen active warehouse and that the goods can be forwarded to your destination. A discount is of little use if the required route is unavailable. Read the current shipping restrictions; if anything is unclear, send support the product link before paying.
Decide whether you will pay the retailer yourself or request an assisted purchase from Shopogolic. For assisted purchase, the request and its cost must be agreed first. A declined card does not guarantee that the purchase request can be accepted.
Add the costs you can check before buying
Start with the price of the selected size, model and quantity. A different variant or expired promotion is not a suitable basis for the budget. Add the retailer’s delivery to the warehouse: this is a separate transport stage from international parcel shipping.
For assisted purchase, include the service fee and other agreed charges from the invoice. If you pay the store directly, do not automatically add an assisted purchase fee. Check the current service rates for the correct warehouse and note the services you plan to request.
Allow for warehouse services
Check the storage conditions before ordering, including the permitted period and any charges if you exceed it. When waiting for several orders, keep track of when each one arrives.
Packing, additional protection, photos and other selected services may affect the total. The appropriate services depend on the goods; do not assume that all are required or free. If Parcel Protection is offered for your delivery, review its current conditions separately.
Estimate international parcel shipping
Use the parcel delivery calculator with the correct origin warehouse, destination address, parcel weight and dimensions. Compare the services available for the same set of parcel details.
Before the purchases arrive, the box details may be estimates. Confirm the weight and dimensions after packing and review the final quote. The shipping cost for an unpacked item is not a quote for the finished parcel.
Does consolidation always reduce the total?
Compatible purchases received at the same warehouse may be consolidated under the current service conditions. Orders held at warehouses in different countries are not automatically combined into one box.
Before requesting consolidation, compare the available options using the packing costs and final parcel details. A fixed percentage saving is not guaranteed. Get the estimate first, then decide which purchases should travel together.
Check the costs outside the parcel quote
Check which import charges may apply at the destination and whether they are included in the selected calculation. Do not assume they are covered just because a shipping price is shown. Check the import requirements for the actual goods and destination.
If a return to the seller is possible, find out how approval, return delivery and related charges work beforehand. Returning an item does not automatically refund every service and transport stage already completed.
Review the budget before dispatch
Keep separate lines for the goods, retailer delivery, assisted purchase if selected, storage and warehouse services, packing, international transport and applicable import charges. Mark whether each amount is paid and final.
Check that the calculation uses the correct warehouse and recipient address, and that the parcel details have been confirmed. If a cost is unclear, contact our support before paying for that service. Base the purchase decision on the full budget rather than the product price alone.
